  1. Hi folks!

I expect a flood of answers to this very important question. Come on students, this is your chance to tell us what you want from a training session! I have just come back from a seminar this morning (not a Learn-Kit session of course) and I can tell you that one of my suggestions would be for tutors to stop reading their power-point slides out to the participants. We can all read and just means that the proceedings run into the coffee break, which is the focal point of most training sessions in my book! We would love to hear your views, so please get send them in NOW!

    Do I get the £25?

A good training session would be if the tutors decided where everywhere sat and mixed the class up to prevent friends sitting together and talking and disrupting the class. Also the quieter members of the class should be encouraged to get involved more to bring them out of themselves and give them more confidence to ask questions. The trainees shouldn’t be starting their Learnkit lessons unless they have been in Practice for a number of weeks, as I had only been in Practice for one day when starting in Learnkit, some trainees there had been in Practice for 6 months and others for a year, which made me feel inadequate and overwhelmed. I felt that it was a very long day to be at the desk studying and I feel that if a practical task was introduced in the afternoon, it would keep the interest of the class. i.e. mixing dental materials or identyfying actual dental instruments, not from photos or books, as it is easier to memorise actual objects.
